eMedia Guitar Method Version 3 review:1 stars (Windows XP users and anyone running 32 or 64 bit OS beware!) - Folks, I can't even begin to tell you what this program is like because it is written for an ancient 16-bit operating system and DOES NOT install correctly on Windows XP. And the folks at eMedia have the nerve to call this program Guitar Method version 3.0? Dear eMedia programmer(s): What did you update in this version, aside from the number on the box? This is the latest version? Come on, guys?! And you ship an ancient version of Quicktime to run your videos in the program, and it conflicts with any PC that has a more current version of Quicktime already installed?! If you plan to buy this program, be sure you first buy an old 486 PC on eBay to run this thing. Have a look at the support section of eMedia's website if you don't believe me. And the website doesn't even to begin to cover the plethora of problems you'll have with this program. And the intructions they give you to fix some of the problems would require you to be a computer programmer to fix on your own. Big disappointment, guys. 5 stars (You will ENJOY learning to play the guitar!) - This software is absolutely the BEST guitar teaching program available today. The program made it fun and easy for me to learn to play the guitar. Compared to private lessons here in Phoenix priced at between $19 to $21 for 30 minutes of instruction, this CD is a real bargain! I love it so much that I'm going to purchase eMedia's Intermediate Guitar Method software right now.5 stars (YOU Will play the Guitar!) - I had been wanting to take guitar lessons but did not have the time.After doing some research I purchased eMedia's Guitar Method.I loaded up the software and began my first lesson.Within an hours time I was playing a song!I could not beleive it.I have never had a lessons nor could I understand a note.There are some really good features like a built in tuner and animated fretboard(my fav).I highly recommend the product.It's like personal lesson in your home!
