-much better than the flimsy standard pad
-more stable and solid base
-still portable

Cons:
-from personal experience this pad will eventually start to misfire. The button(s) that misfire(s) varies, and so does the behavior (the button may not respond or it may just repeated act like it's being stepped on). Regardless of whether it's being used for xbox or ps2, this happens to most people. Just search the internet for gripes
-based on the above, this pad should not cost more than $60.00 based on its life expectancy. $100.00 is too much money for something that breaksdown within a few months.

Bottomline:
If you really like DDR and you're using it to workout, I recommend that you just buy a metal dance pad for $200. Yes, it is twice the price, but it's better than wasting $100 for something that only partially works after a relatively short amount of time.5 stars (YES! 10 feet. Its very hard. Anyways I love how you can feel the arrows. PLEASE DO NOT LET ANYONE PLAY WITH SHOES ON THIS MAT THE ARROWS WILL GET VERY SLIPPERY. My friend was playing with his shoes on then the next day he came over and played with his shoes off and slipped. It was classic. I would suggest the DDR EXTREME game because it has great songs and DDR MAX 1&2 because its good on practice mode, you can slow down songs. Helps us A Maxx Unlimited. Takes alot of skill and practice so parents if your reading this and is thinking of buying your son/daughter this do it. Not only does it give you great eye hand cordination but it lets them workout without even knowing! I lost 4 pounds playing this game and I just play it for fun! Very addictive lol I can't get over it. I love this mat because of the split wires. You can play for either ps1/ps2 or xbox. But I would just wait for Ignition 3.0 Dance Pad. Works for same systems only with better foam in it.

So please buy them the mat or the game for any ocassion.
