Barbie Fashion Show review:2 stars (Parents, review hardware requirements first...) - My daughter greatly enjoys the game but this software has steep requirements compared to other Barbie titles. The required 32MB of video memory is no exaggeration. Even if you get the software to install and run without meeting the requirements, you will run into miscellaneous problems during the game, including invisible or missing icons and illegal operations. Even new computers are susceptible to the problems because some use an onboard video with only 4-16MB of shared memory. I did not see any demos or an eval version for this title, but that is usually your best bet before purchasing any software (especially if your daughter will use her own money). I have been putting together PC's for over 15 years, even before VGA was the standard, and worked in the industry for over a decade as an engineer and developer. Unless you can troubleshoot and fix DirectX issues, please listen to me when I say that you should first verify if your computer meets this game's minimum requirements.

The game comes with many different "shows" -- you can put on a show with a theme like Bridal, Retro, Asian, Back to School, Pajama Party, etc.

You choose the outfits, the shoes, the models, the design of the runway and the music. Then the computer animates the whole thing and you use a "camera" to take pictures for your album so you can remember what you chose.

The only bad things about this program: snapping pictures is a bit tricky. And all the pics are horizontal, so you can't get vertical closeups of outfits. And you can only save so many shows.

Worth $20? I dunno. But my daughter really enjoys it.
5 stars (I LOOOVEE IITT!!!!!!!!!!!) - this game is sooo much fun!!! after I do my homework and walk my two dogs with my mom, I go on the computer and play this game. it is so much fun! It starts out where they give you 10+ patterns to start on the catagory they assign you and each catagory you get more new patterns along with outfits, colors, hair (for your models), acessoreies, and new stages which barbie, kayla, leiha, or christie model your outfits that you designed! There also is new music to unlock every catagory which you play for you're show and during your show given a camera with 6 shots in it per show you can capture close-ups or full-legnth of your beautiful outfits designed by you.
